David speaks with journalist and Peter Godwin about his latest book The Fear: Robert Mugabe and the Martyrdom of Zimbabwe. In this book, Godwin chronicles his experiences after returning to his homeland of Zimbabwe during the 2008 election. In these elections, longtime leader Robert Mugabe loses the election but after careful consideration decides not to cede his power and goes on to torture and torment the residents of Zimbabwe as he has in his many years in command.
