1. Type of Activity: Internship Program

JW Broadcasting has established an internship program to give college students and interested adults the opportunity to gain real-world broadcasting experience at both NewsTalk 1160 WCFO-AM and AM 1690 WMLB “The Voice of the Arts.” In the Dec. 2010-Dec. 2011 period, we hosted four interns. Lottie Lott’s internship began in January 2011, Leah Kuenzi’s internship began in February 2011, Amanda Thames’ internship began in March 2011, and Jude Gelman’s internship began in April 2011. Each internship lasted for 8 weeks.

JW Broadcasting sponsors and participates in community festivals and events. Additionally, we utilize such events to get feedback from listeners and community members as to how our stations can better serve them.

3. Type of Activity: Hosting Community Groups

JW Broadcasting has welcomed community groups, such as scout organizations and college classes, to tour our facilities and learn about careers in radio broadcasting.

4. Type of Activity: Listing Vacancies in Database of Media Organization
