As such, Totonchi and the Southern Center for Human Rights were very involved in the Troy Davis case.

After becoming increasingly uncomfortable with these horrific methods (which Carle isn’t allowed to go into after his original draft was censored by the CIA), Carle approached his superiors in what was considered an act of defiance and naive trouble making.
