Ben Jaffe – Preservation Hall Jazz Band

Ben Jaffe is the director of New Orleans mainstay Preservation Hall and the tuba player in the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Founded in 1961 by his parents Allan and Sandra Jaffe, Preservation Hall strives to protect and honor the tradition of New Orleans jazz. After Hurricane Katrina came along in 2005, Jaffe had his work cut out for him to continue protecting and honor these tradition. Through his Preservation Hall Musicial Outreach program and the 2010 critically-acclaimed Preservation album, Ben has assured that this tradition will live on for many more years.
