Neal Cohen speaks with New Orleans songwriting legend Allen Toussaint. Allen tells some fantastic stories about the first time he touched a piano, working with Lee Dorsey and The Meters, and writing his classic song “Southern Nights.” As a songwriter, Toussaint has written legendary songs like Workin’ in a Coalmine, Brickyard Blues, Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley and the Pointer Sisters classic Yes We Can Can.
